Here's a picture of my Grandma Polly, she was a hottie in her days. She will be turning 88 in a couple of month's. She was an amazing quilter, most of her quilts were very festive and bright- happy like she was.She taught me all my quilting skills. *Thank you Grandma* This Christmas quilt top (I haven't put it together yet) is the last quilt we worked on together. At this time she could only put the dark and light colors together all her sewing skills were gone, she couldn't even draw or cut a straight line anymore, it breaks my heart for her. That was three years ago, now she fiddles with the blanket on her lap that keeps her warm and I have figured out, in her lost mind that she is quilting again. And I know she is in a happy moment. My grandma has dementia. It is a heartless disease, so cruel. I pulled this quilt out on Christmas even though it is not done to have her memory's close to me. Grandma is still here yet gone, I miss her so. *Love you Grandma*
